Why hire a math tutor?
It's no secret that during the pandemic, our children were having a difficult time learning math online. Recent studies report troubling setbacks and show the steepest declines ever recorded on the National Assessment of Education Progress, (the nation's report card)*. As of 2022 only 26% of eighth graders and 36% of 4th graders are proficient in math*, and proficient means passing, a score of 70 or above. According to Brookings.edu student test scores fell between 20% - 27% as compared to the same grade level peers of 2019.**
Unfortunately, schools are unable to provide one-on-one or small group remediation for struggling students. Now our children are faced with having to make up for the what they missed AND learn their current grade level math. This can be truly frustrating and difficult for your child and for you.
This is where I come in. I can offer your child:
Personalized Attention - Individualized guidance and support tailored to your child's specific learning needs.
Reinforcement and Practice - Exercises to reinforce classroom learning, helping your child strengthen their math skills.
Overcome Challenges and Build Confidence - Help your child overcome math difficulties, break down complex problems and offer continuous guidance to build confidence.
